December 8 at 9pm: WHN Members on TV
Teresa Doherty of The Women’s Library, Krista Cowman, June Purvis and Liz Stanley all appeared on Yesterday TV on Thursday, 8 December at 9 pm in the programme ‘Find My Past’ discussing the life of the suffragette Emily Wilding Davison, who died in June 1913 after running on to the Derby race course and trying to grab the reins of the King’s horse.

Dr Paula Dudley has been awarded the Elizabeth Longford grant (administered by the Society of Authors). The judges were Lady Antonia Fraser, Lisa Allardice, Eva Hoffman, Andrea Levy and Bernard O'Donoghue.
The grant was set up by Flora Fraser and Peter Soros in honour of Flora's grand mother. The award is £2,500 for research in progress.
Paula is currently writing a biography of socialist and feminist MP and activist, Ellen Wilkinson.
